<Poem>
<End Poem>
<Translation>
The crane on the shore stands on a flight of stone steps,
The moon from the pool beams through an open door.
I am charmed by this place and stayed there,
And could not leave for two nights.
Fortunate, that I should have found so quiet a place,
Glad, that no companion should drag me away.
Ever since I have tasted this loneliness,
I have decided never to come with companions.
